Job Profile

• Ensuring processes for a seamless transition of product and therapeutic area know-how
• Taking over Medical Affairs COPD work packages
• Collaborating with and providing medical support to global Marketing
• Providing strategic medical input and plan for global Product Maintenance & Optimization (PMO) in late phase development
• Maintaining overview of regional/global medico-marketing and optimizing the interaction
• Contributing medical/scientific support for global phase IIIb/IV and publication strategies
• Reviewing and approving national phase IV studies and ensuring consistency
• Developing global medical product defence strategies and co-ordinating with Global Regulatory Affairs (GRA) and Global Pharmacovigilance
• Representing Boehringer Ingelheim at international scientific advisory boards, congresses etc.

Requirements

• University degree, preferred M.D., with specialization in respiratory diseases
• More than 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in global role & functions
• Sound medical and scientific leadership to drive high-priority projects
• Strong external focus to the scientific community and top level medical experts
• Advanced management and project management skills as well as the ability to coach peers
• Substantial background - 2 or more years - in international clinical research
• Good knowledge in PMO, GRA environment as well as in GCP and marketing principles
• Profound PC, presentation, training and facilitation skills

You are able to work in virtual teams, to collaborate cross functionally and to operate with strong leadership and decision making skills.

The international nature of the tasks requires fluent English – both spoken and written.
